I’m Running for City Council in Ward 10

When the city of Fredericton was granted its charter in 1848, the City Council was given the authority to build a City Hall and install a public clock. However, when City Hall was rebuilt in 1876 following a fire, it did not initially include a clock.

Today, I’m announcing my intention to run for Fredericton City Council to represent Ward 10 in the 2026 municipal election.

Ward 10 includes the west end of downtown, the historic Town Plat, and the neighbourhood of Sunshine Gardens—a vibrant and diverse part of our city with a strong sense of community and deep local pride. I’ve spent years working in and alongside this community, and I care deeply about the people, the spaces, and the future of our neighbourhoods.

A bit about me: I’m a longtime Fredericton resident, community leader, and someone who believes strongly in collaboration, practical solutions, and making government more open and accessible. Throughout my career, I’ve led organizations, supported community initiatives, and worked to bring people together around shared goals. That experience, along with my roots in this city, has shaped my commitment to public service.

I’m running because I believe Ward 10 deserves a strong, responsive voice at the council table. One that champions transparent governance, smart and inclusive growth, affordable housing, livable neighbourhoods, and fiscal responsibility. I want to bring a thoughtful, community-first approach to City Hall—one that listens, engages, and leads with integrity.

I’ll be connecting with residents later in the year and will certainly be out and about in 2026 as the campaign officially gets underway.
