Today, I’m announcing my intention to run for Fredericton City Council in Ward 10. But before the campaign season ramps up, I want to share a core belief that has guided my thinking and grounded my decision: We grow best when we grow together. And that starts by listening.

Looking west toward Ward 10, where the sun sets — and a new chapter begins — together.
Looking west toward Ward 10, where the sun sets — and a new chapter begins — together.

Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with many residents, neighbours, and community leaders across our Ward. These conversations weren’t just about policies or platforms — they were about priorities, hopes, frustrations, and the ways in which we can shape a stronger, more connected community. I’ve shared more about that process in a recent post: Listening, Learning, and Stepping Forward Together.

“A stronger Ward 10 begins with listening — because when we work together, we grow together.”

My goal in running is simple — to bring a collaborative, transparent, and forward-looking voice to City Hall, rooted in deep community connections and a commitment to practical action. You can learn more about why I’m running and what Ward 10 represents to me in this post: I’m Running for City Council in Ward 10.

If you’d like to get to know me better — my background as a founder, community volunteer, and someone who has worked to create opportunities here in Fredericton — I invite you to read my biography: About Jeff.

This campaign is not just about one person. It’s about all of us — listening to one another, planning together, and building a community where every voice matters.

Let’s move Ward 10 forward, together.
