Endorsements

I am grateful for the support and endorsement of people who have known me through many different parts of my life — through community service, business, volunteering, public advocacy, and friendship. These are people I have worked alongside, learned from, and shared time with over many years.

Their words mean a great deal to me, not simply because they are endorsements, but because they come from real relationships built over time. They reflect shared work, shared conversations, and a shared commitment to Fredericton and the people who call it home.

My campaign is rooted in listening, practical leadership, and doing the work. I am proud to have the support of people who know how I show up, how I approach problems, and how seriously I take the responsibility of serving this community.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Jeff Thompson since my early days in Fredericton. We first met when I was a student at UNB, and he generously volunteered his time to listen to and discuss a business idea I was working on that would become HotSpot Parking. Over the past 13 years, despite never paying him a dime, we've met nearly every two weeks, sharing ideas and supporting each other's growth. Thanks to Jeff's unwavering dedication and guidance, about 75 jobs in Fredericton have been created directly through his volunteer efforts.

I wholeheartedly support Jeff's run for city council because I believe he will continue to volunteer his time and make a positive difference in our community, just as he has over the years.

I have been a friend of Jeff Thompson's for almost 50 years, and there are few people whom I would trust more to have the interests of this community at heart. He leads by example, integrity, and action. The citizens of Fredericton would be fortunate to have Jeff as a Council member.

I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Jeff over the past five years as both a community advocate and a business leader. I’ve seen his commitment— volunteering at the kitchens, supporting our hospital, and contributing to numerous non-profit initiatives. Jeff is deeply informed about the challenges Fredericton faces and brings thoughtful, practical solutions to the table. Our city needs leaders like Jeff — people who truly understand our concerns about community safety, sustainability, and the future we’re building together.

I’ve known Jeff for nearly ten years and have seen him give his time generously across Fredericton’s innovation and community sectors. He asks good questions, stays grounded in facts, and keeps the focus on outcomes that matter. Jeff brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to every discussion. He combines professional insight with genuine neighbourhood care - a combination that makes him an asset to any conversation about the city’s future.

I have lived in Fredericton my entire life, owned and operated multiple businesses, raised my three children here with my wife Stacey, remained active coaching youth soccer and hockey, and continue to care deeply for this City.  I have known Jeff Thompson for over 40 years and consider him one of the most decent, hard-working, honest, and intelligent people I have ever known.  Jeff volunteers at both the DECH and Kitchens weekly while also building multiple very successful businesses.

I fully endorse Jeff Thompson for City Councilor and cannot think of a better person or leader for our community.

I met Jeff Thompson about 5 years ago when I joined the Saturday morning Volunteer Team at the Community Kitchen. We volunteered together through Covid, and today we are both still part of a great team I look forward to working with. Therefore, I can attest that he is a great team player who treats everyone with respect, offers support as needed, and is especially helpful to new volunteers. In the many discussions we have had, it is very clear to me that Jeff is familiar with the residents and their concerns and issues in this Community.

I have seen and heard him address those concerns at Council and public meetings, where he brings forward well-researched, well-thought-out recommendations for solutions and ideas for change. I am so pleased that Jeff Thompson is offering his experience and expertise as a candidate for City Councilor in Ward 10.

Jeff Thompson has been a constant in our lives for over thirty years, and in that time, we’ve come to know him as a person of exceptional character. He is deeply devoted to his family and community, always ready to lend a hand or step up when something needs to be done. Jeff brings a rare combination of high integrity and tenacity to everything he does—he’s thoughtful in his decisions, honest in his dealings, and unwavering in following through on his commitments.

He is an extremely hardworking and successful entrepreneur who consistently takes on big projects and sees them through to completion. When Jeff says he’s going to do something, you can count on it getting done, and done well. We have tremendous respect for him, and we’re proud to call him a friend.
